Margaret has been a leader in building economic mobility of underserved communities by strengthening’ access to education and markets at local, national and global levels, with a commitment to stakeholder engagement at every level of collaboration. Her work spans several industries, and she is particularly adept at – and enjoys immensely – finding niches for growth or areas for operational improvement.
Her foray into wine began with wine tastings at vineyards in the U.S., Europe, and Southern Africa. This led to a more formal study and Level 2 Certification in Wines and Spirits Education awarded by WSET. She is currently working in vine maintenance at a local vineyard, Robin Hill Farms and Vineyards, which has been not only been a highlight to her work, but a very rewarding personal experience. This work dovetails with her current focus on communities to build not only academic competencies, but also local industries. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to serve as MGGA’s Membership Chair and looks forward to working with and for all MD grape growers.
