Join Dr. Joe Fiola for a controlled tasting of research samples (data!) made from the UMD’s research vineyard plots around the state. Taste new (and new-to-you) varieties (Tempranillo, Montepulciano, Sagrantino. etc.) in various styles and hear where these vines are suited throughout the state. This research and education program is supported via a Maryland Governor’s Commission on Wine and Grapes Grant. Coffee and lunch are included.
